Opatova, originally a separate village on the outskirts of Trencin, was once alerted by a high shining replica of the lighthouse of the famous motorcade on the main transit route. Unintentionally, by the form and look of this house, the village acquired a new "lighthouse".

This family home for a young married couple did not have the ambition to draw attention to itself throughout the process of its creation. The fact that this has happened is the result of a consensus of several factors. His ambition, however, from the beginning was to contribute to the creation of the character of the place, which will most likely be filled by the raid of catalogue residential construction in the coming decades.

The volume of the house consists of a block measuring approximately 15 × 7 × 10 m, which is cut by two planes selected with respect to the usability of the interior spaces. Being inside this house doesn't have to mean being in a room. The kitchen, the heart of the house as in a traditional Slovak house, is connected to the connecting spaces in all aspects. It is the social centre of the family.
