敷地を貫く軸線に沿って，トップライトとガラスの階段で構成された 吹抜空間「光のスリット」をプログラムする．建築空間に穿たれたそのスリット空間には，自然光が満ち溢れ， この住宅の隅々まで柔らかな明るさを浸透させていく．

cube状の2階ヴォリュームと周囲に配された壁との間に創造される 「余白」が住空間にこの上ない明るさと居心地の良さをもたらしている．オール電化＋太陽光発電＋RC外断熱工法によって，将来的な 完全ZEB（ゼロエミッションビル）化を意図した住宅である．

桜並木に沿った大きな交差点の角地に建つ小住宅である． 1Fをピロティー・2Fを居室とした鉄筋コンクリートと木造の混構造によって、交差点の大きなスケール感に負けないスカルプチュアルな造形を持つ建築を目指した．

1Fにギャラリー，2Fに創作空間を持つ写真家のためのアトリエである．敷地北側の借景である"北の庭"とアプローチを兼ねた"南の庭"の間に アトリエを挿入し，内外の階段とブリッジによるループ状の動線で 空間を有機的に繋ぐことにより，光に満ち溢れる居心地の良さを表現した．
