By placing two rectangles diagonally across the nearly square site, two cohesive exterior spaces were created, one on the street side and the other at the rear.
The street side is open to the street as a parking space for three cars, including those for visitors, while the exterior space at the rear of the building is surrounded by the building in an L-shape. Furthermore, by enclosing the site boundary side with a wall floating 1 meter above the ground and covering half of the courtyard with eaves, this external space is internalized and becomes the central space of the building with a sense of presence.
By further dividing the small house into three boxes, the proposal is to live while using different spaces with different atmospheres.
