Closely located to the city center and with views to the Congo river and the nearby tropical landscape, the interior design of the five star hotel connects with its surroundings in a contemporary, yet locally rooted style, to maximize its privileged location. Following the brand’s visual identity of fusing European luxury with Congolese hospitality, the concept developed for the Brazzaville branch navigates between a casual and a first-class style, with a narrative strongly based in the African-inspired motifs which resemble works of art and are present throughout the interior of the building.
The public areas such as the lobby area, the restaurants, the French bakery, the casino, ballroom, meeting rooms, spa, landscaped pool and terraces, gym, kids club, casino and the nightclub follow this design language in detail and each space has a unique approach based on different lighting expressions and carefully chosen furniture which are combined to invite the guests to relax. The African patterns used, as well as the splash of colors, refer to elements found in nature or in the cultural heritage of the Congo.
All of the 176 guest rooms are designed to make the most of the spectacular views, and practically merge with the outdoor landscape through the wide and high glass windows which seem to invite leisure and business guests to immerse themselves in the scenery. The subdued luxury is stated by the use of natural materials such as wood, or the living room-like arrangement of sofas, armchairs and tables which emphasize the hospitality, a characteristic of the Kempinski brand.
