This home features a skateboard bank ramp and piano room. The skateboard ramp is connected to an exterior garden, as well as to the elevated piano room via a set of sound-proof doors. When the doors are fully opened the piano room becomes a stage and the skate ramp a seating area for guests. The change in elevation at the piano room demands a similar change in the basement space below it and the living-dining-kitchen area above it. These elevation shifts ambiguously divide the space while leaving it gently connected, create a further sense of depth, and in general enrich the entire home.
