In the Philippine capital of Manila, an iconic tower is rising. The tower is designed as a tribute to the local people and culture, while at the same time giving something back to the city in the form of generous public spaces for learning, working, and celebrating.
With its elegant, delicately weaved facade and welcoming public spaces, the Icon Tower is a shining example of contemporary Philippine architecture. The 275-meter tower, spanning across 36 floors, contains a gallery, a public museum and observatory, a conference center, restaurant and dining facilities as well as attractive office spaces infused with daylight. The tower is designed to support Philippine culture and its strong penchant for gatherings and celebrations, traditionally enjoyed in the public realm. In the shade of trees from local rainforests, the central plaza offers a protected space for public activities and social gatherings, creating life in the heart of the city.
