Many museums are closed and just about all architecture-related events are postponed or canceled in response to the spread of COVID-19. Some exhibitions, such as the collections of drawings by Jean-Jacques Lequeu at the Morgan Library & Museum, offer online audio guides that make it possible to "visit" the exhibition from home or the office.
World-Architects visited Jean-Jacques Lequeu: Visionary Architect. Drawings from the Bibliothèque nationale de France last Thursday, just one day before the Morgan temporarily closed to the public for at least a couple weeks. Featuring a smattering of the 823 drawings Lequeu donated to the Royal Library in Paris in 1825, one year before he died at the age of 68, the exhibition is highly recommended — but currently impossible to see in person. Thankfully, not only does the Morgan have many of the exhibited drawings on its website, the museum has an audio guide describing some of the important drawings and key themes throughout Lequeu's "visionary architecture." It's well worth a listen.
Visit the Morgan Library & Museum's website to listen to an audio guide of Jean-Jacques Lequeu: Visionary Architect and look at some of the amazing drawings by Lequeu.
