Regional shopping mall in a residential area to the southwest of Madrid, which will promote the expansion and improvement of the infrastructure in the area. Islazul has a public vocation: it is a place for gathering and social relations, an island conceived from respect for the environment and bio-climatic architecture. The project emphasizes this idea with volumes of curved profiles and rolling façades to define large spaces that are discovered as they are visited; bright spaces with natural elements and vegetation that create peaceful environments and walkways. One of the important elements of the building is the transparent ETFE roof, a state-of-the-art material allowing for large lightweight structures and climate control of the interior.
