Marta Vall-llossera Ferran, President of the Council of Spanish Architects (Consejo Superior de los Arquitectos de España, CSCAE) and Renato Turri, CEO of PSA Publishers Ltd., publisher of the international architecture platform World-Architects, signed a memorandum of understanding intended to promote architectural events and notable projects by Spanish architects throughout the network and in the international online magazine of World-Architects. The collaboration between the two entities is based on a shared philosophy and hopes to continue to foster general interest about architecture as a cultural, economic and social asset fundamental to today as well as to the future.

The key points of the agreement are:

  1. To increase the visibility of the Council’s work and mindset on the World-Architects platform.
  2. To promote the Council’s philosophy and vision as well as the views of Spanish architects on current universal challenges, especially with consideration to climate change, in the World-Architects online magazine.
  3. To work together in order to give more visibility to exhibitions and cultural and educational activities related to both Spanish architecture biennials: the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism and the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism.

The agreement, originally signed in 2018, has been renewed with the new president, Marta Vall-llossera Ferran, after the untimely death of Lluís Comerón.

The Council of Spanish Architects (CSCAE, Consejo Superior de los Arquitectos de España) is a corporation governed by public law that represents architecture associations in Spain. Established by decree on 13th June 1931, the CSCAE is a body that brings together all associations for the purpose of general common interest. Furthermore, it is the representative body for schools and professionals when dealing with public and private corporations as well as international organizations and acts as the final corporate court of appeal (application of professional ethics).
