Bjarke Ingels and his fellow architects at BIG have a penchant for formally diagrammatic designs: mountain-like apartment buildings, swirling pavilions, twisting towers, even a museum that looks like it was made with giant LEGO blocks. Twists seem to be a favorite among the numerous formal maneuvers in BIG's toolbox. With the new building-slash-bridge-slash-sculpture at Kistefos Sculpture Park going so far as naming itself The Twist, BIG might have finally achieved "peak twist."

The Twist opened today at Kistefos Sculpture Park with the exhibition Hodgkin and Creed - Inside Out. A few photos of the 1,000m2 building are below, but visit BIG's profile to see more photos and read the firm's description.
