And move it does. Its hundreds of wood pieces rise twelve meters into the air, all of them assembled with traditional Japanese joinery – no screws or glue.

Yure is part of Gravier's Small Nomad Houses series, small demountable structures he commissioned from architects as places of experimentation. Other architects include Sou Fujimoto, Rudy Ricciotti, Edouard François and Claude Parent.

Yure will be on display in the Jardin des Tuileries until 1 November 2015.
