Five projects – in Denmark, England, France, the Netherlands, and Poland – are in the running for the 2017 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award. One winner will be named during a press conference in Brussels tomorrow, May 12th.
The five finalists were named two months ago, culled from 40 shortlisted projects. Since then the seven-person jury (Stephen Bates, Gonçalo Byrne, Pelin Derviş, Dominique Jakob, Juulia Kauste, Małgorzata Omilanowska, and Peter Cachola Schmal) has visited each of the finalists to determine the winner of the prestigious biennial award.
