The apartment is located on the ground floor in the commercial resident area in Beijing. We were attracted by the south-facing yard and the shadows of the trees on the wall in the first time of visiting. In that moment, we forgot the crowd and sweltering outside totally. The previous owner of the apartment removed all partitional wall and used it as the studio. We walked along with the existing wall and started understanding the relationship and transition between rooms.
In this centralized layout with the dining room and living room as the center, that two rooms will take on the duty to reflect that special relationship, which will offer the apartment with a featured special character.
