Client
Arkoslight

Six years after designing the offices for the technical lighting brand Arkoslight, Francesc Rifé’s studio has returned to oversee the expansion of the showroom, preserving the formal coherence of the original project. The proposal introduces new conceptual settings while maintaining the prominence of black steel and white tones. It also incorporates a material of great significance: grey smoked mirror, adding a layer of visual and almost magical complexity to the space.

The original showroom has been expanded by 600 m², offering a fresh reimagining of the space. New compartments create innovative ways to showcase the luminaires, including two new meeting rooms, a metal structure evoking an outdoor area, and a transitional display room. The latter allows design and architecture professionals to craft their own installations using Arkoslight’s lighting solutions.

The duality of the project is unified by the smoked mirror, achieving harmony through contrasts and light interplay. Arkoslight underscores its commitment to balancing decorative and technical lighting—an example of how the brand is strengthening ties with architecture studios while bringing its technical expertise into the decorative realm.

Much like the original headquarters revolves around a central green core, the expansion maintains vegetation as a connecting and defining element between spaces. The new outdoor-focused area, conceived as an immersive nighttime promenade, emphasises the inclusion of outdoor collections in Arkoslight’s portfolio.

Throughout this expansion, light takes centre stage, shaping a variety of spatial experiences and highlighting its role in harmonising the environments we live in.
