Mid Tower Grand

Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan

Our design process involves reading the context of each location and assembling the extracted elements into a design.
The process of reading the context requires not only information about the history and topography of the location, but also the art and culture rooted in the place, the landscape of the city, and the experiences and memories of the designers, which we consider important sources of non-verbalised imagery.

Based on the image of how the building to be designed will appear in the city, and how it will express the character in the area, we create not only the beautiful form of the building, but also the space for users with a human-scale plan and programme.

The completed projects will gradually integrate into the urban landscape with the local community. In the process, we discover new life cycles and new interpretations of the city, which provides a source of inspiration for our design work. Our aim is to be a design office where designers evolve in step with the architecture.
