The key idea underlying the conversion of a multi-storey building dating from the 1950s was to emphasize the load-bearing elements in the design of the spaces, in this way reflecting the everyday work of the new occupant, a structural engineering company.

Fittings and surfaces were eliminated, ensuring the fair-faced concrete beams define the space. The lighting strip running parallel through the concrete beam draws attention to the structural principles.

Glass walls inserted into the ground plan taking the Golden Section into consideration serve to partition the office spaces while enhancing the overall open and airy atmosphere. The project required only a small budget.
