CTBUH, 1 Bligh is ‘One of the Most Influential Buildings of the last 50 Years’
The prestigious Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has elected our Australian project 1 Bligh Street as one of the most influential buildings of the last 50 years. The 139-metre tall 1 Bligh office building in Sydney was inaugurated in autumn 2011. Due to its compact geometry and a slight rotation in relation to its site, all offices enjoy unobstructed views of the city’s beautiful harbor. All the typical ground floor functions have been raised to allow for a public plaza at street level. The high-rise building is a highlight in Sydney’s skyline. In addition to its spatial efficiency, the building boasts an ecological concept that is not only unique for the city but also for the entire Australian continent. The building is the first high-rise tower to have received the highest six star certificate of the Australian Green Star environmental rating system. Its fully glazed tower is equipped with a double-skin façade and is ventilated by an atrium that rises up the building’s entire height.

Each year, the polis Award honors dedicated and collaborative solutions to the ever-present challenges of modern cities. This year, the price was awarded in five categories. The Kö-Bogen II project convinced the jury in the "Reactivated Centers" category, as it is creating an important urban impulse for Düsseldorf by creating a new public space of the highest quality and liveliness between the park, the theater and the shopping city.
The award ceremony took place at this year's polis Convention, the trade fair for urban and project development, on the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf.

The German Sustainable Building Council [Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen, DGNB] presented the DGNB Climate Positive award [DGNB Klimapositiv] in honor of Freiburg Town Hall on 8 October 2019 during the EXPO REAL in Munich. Following an all-round monitoring by our long-term cooperation partner Drees & Sommer, the DGNB established that the building had been used environmentally friendly and had lived up to the standards of their climate-neutral buildings and locations-framework. This illustrates that our supergreen®-principle makes a difference

The projects Lanserhof Lans, Lanserhof Tegernsee and the Grayshott Health Spa, designed by ingenhoven architects, were awarded at the World Spa Awards with a total of five awards. For the fourth time in a row, the Lanserhof Tegernsee has taken the top spot in the category "World's Best Medical Spa", the Lanserhof Lans convinced the jury with the "World's Best Spa Design". Another achievement is Grayshott Health Spa's award for "England's Best Wellness Retreat 2018". Furthermore, Lanserhof Lans received an award as "Austria's Best Wellness Retreat" and Lanserhof Tergernsee as "Germany's Best Wellness Retreat". World Spa Awards serves to celebrate and reward spa industry excellence through their annual awards program. World Spa Awards is the sister event of World Travel Awards, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018.

The CTBUH Awards recognize projects and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of tall buildings and the urban environment, and projects that achieve the highest degree of sustainability. ingenhoven architects’ Marina One in Singapore project is one of the shortlisted projects of this award.

Since 2007, the MIPIM Asia Awards honor outstanding achievements in the real estate industry of the Asia-Pacific region. The competition credits the best built or undeveloped projects in the Asian real estate world in eleven categories. After being selected by a renowned jury and selected by the MIPIM Asia delegates, the winners of the MIPIM Asia Awards gala dinner will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze. The largest project of ingenhoven architects to date - Marina One Singapore - received the MIPIM Asia Award Gold 2018 in the category "Best Innovative Green Building". The award ceremony took place on November 28 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.

he 2017 Fritz Höger Prize for Brick Architecture was awarded by the Building with Brick Initiative to honor architects who use the potential of this traditional building material to create contemporary and timeless buildings. In this context, "brick" stands for all kinds of building blocks made of fired clay, including clinker bricks and facing bricks. The Fritz Höger Prize for Brick Architecture, which was first established in 2008, is awarded every three years and, with over 500 national and international entrants in 2017, has now become one of the largest German architectural awards. The wooden silo project in Düsseldorf by ingenhoven architects was awarded "Best Refurbishment Project, Special Mention" by the jury.

The German Design Award is given for innovative products and projects, and to their manufacturers and designers. The Stuttgart Main Railway Station project by ingenhoven architects received the German Design Award in the "Excellent Communications" category; the jury considered the project "groundbreaking in the German and international design landscape".

The Lanserhof resort at Lake Tegern wins the Condé Nast Traveller Spa Award 2016 in the category “Most effective Medi-Spa”. Since its completion in 2014, Lanserhof has already won more than a dozen design and sustainability prizes.

The remodeled and modernized Insitute of Mathematics received the German University Architecture Award 2016. ingenhoven architects has redefined the building architecturally with focus on optimizing energy consumption. It sets new standards in energy efficiency reducing energy consumption by half, whilst simultaneously almost doubling the amount of floor space.

Two projects of ingenhoven architects won the German Design Award 2015, presented by Rat für Formgebung. The Daniel Swarovski Corporation in Zurich was awarded as a “Winner in the category Architecture and Urban Space”, the Lanserhof Tegernsee was awarded with a “Special Mention” in the same category.

The Lanserhof Tegernsee won the iF Design Award 2015 in the category “Interior Architecture – Hotels, Spas, Restaurants, Bars”. This is the latest from 10 awards since the official opening of the health hotel in January 2014.

Lanserhof wins at the World Architecture Festival 2015
Lanserhof Tegernsee won at the World Architecture Festival 2015 after Christoph Ingenhoven had presented the project live in front of an international jury in Singapore. The jury chose the project as winner in the category Hotel & Leisure - Completed Building.

Tatler announced the Lanserhof Tegernsee as winner of the Tatler Spa Awards 2015 in the category “State-of-the-Art Overhaul”. The jury said: “A shiny blast of futuristic medical marvellousness smack in the middle of German mountains. As spectacular as Dorothy crash-landing in Oz, and filled with just as much wizardry.”

Another award for the Lanserhof Tegernsee: The health hotel was awarded with the title “Destination Spa of the Year – Western Europe & Scandinavia” of the World Spa & Wellness Awards.

“The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design” has awarded the Lanserhof, Lake Tegern, designed by ingenhoven architects, with a GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award 2015. The award was founded in 1950 in Chicago and remains one of the oldest and most important awards worldwide for sustainable design.
Four buildings designed by ingenhoven architects have already been awarded with a GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award: the European Investment Bank Luxembourg, the Daniel Swarovski Corporation Zurich, the Oeconomicum Düsseldorf, 1 Bligh Sydney and now the Lanserhof, Lake Tegern as number five. Since its opening in 2014, the health hotel has been awarded with a total of 14 awards.

The Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPO), located in the highrise 1 Bligh in Sydney, were awarded with the “IDEA Award for Workplace over 1,000 square meters.”

ingenhoven architects win John Verge Interior Architecture Award 2014 for the Sydney Commonwealth Parliament Office in 1 Bligh/Sydney realized together with architectus. The prize is awarded by the Australian Institute of Architects.

best Spa

At the award ceremony of the European Hotel Design Awards 2014 in London, the Lanserhof Tegernsee was awarded with the title: “The European Hotel Design of the Year” – the highest mention of the European Hotel Design Awards. The Lanserhof Tegernsee was also awarded in both categories “The Interior Design Awards: Spa & Wellness” and “The Architecture Awards: Newbuild”.

Gleich drei Projekte (1 Bligh, Sydney; HDI HQ, Hanover; Swarovski, Zürichsee) von ingenhoven architects erhalten den Iconic Award 2013, der dieses Jahr zum ersten mal vom Rat für Formgebung ausgelobt wurde.

As one of only two non-American projects the Daniel Swarovski Corporation at Lake Zurich wins the Good Design is Good Business Award 2013 awarded by Architectural Record.

International Prize for Sustainable Architecture 2012. 1 Bligh in Sydney received the silver medal of the International Prize for Sustainable Architecture from the Architecture Department at Ferrara University.

1 Bligh by ingenhoven architects + achitectus was awarded with the Best Tall Building Award 2012 for Asia and Australasia by CTBUH.

1 Bligh receives the Austral Bricks Awards for Excellence 2012 by the Urban Development Institute of Australia for design and innovation.

The European Investmentbank Luxembourg has won the GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award 2010 by “The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design” and “The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies”. The GOOD DESIGN Award remains the oldest and most important Awards Program worldwide.

The new Headquarters building of the European Investment Bank in Luxembuurg, designed by ingenhoven architects, was awarded the WAN Award 2010 in the “commercial building”-category. The jury aknowledged the “efficient floorplan within a ground breaking envelope – a genuine integration of commercial and environmental concerns which sets a clear and sustainable precedent for Office Architecture in the 21st Century.” Judge Ximo Peris called the design “exciting, clever and well balanced. There is confidence in the big gestures and care in the small details.”

The Europäische Architekturpreis Architektur + Energie 2009 was given for the first time and awarded ingenhoven architects for the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg.

The Breezé-Tower, a mixed-use commercial high-rise tower in Osaka, designed by ingenhoven architects, was nominated by the CTBUH, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago for the CTBUH-Award.
