Located on the outskirts of Stuttgart-Vaihingen on a hillside, the villa Casa Murano appears as a cubic, three-storey building with a plastic articulated facade. The effect of the forward and backward jumps in the facade is enhanced by the alternation of white plaster and recessed black elements. The inside and outside facilities clearly show a continuation of the design principle. Thus, the ground floor is divided by height as graduations in the soil and suspended ceilings. In order to achieve a harmonious whole, had the architects make all furniture elements measured. A spatial relation between ground and upper floors in the kitchen is also produced by an air space above the kitchen area. This is also where a four-meter high chandelier from Murano glass elements is suspended. Thus, the villa got its name: Casa Murano.
