On the grounds of the former coking plant in Alsdorf near Aachen the Energeticon showcases an experience-orientated and media based exhibition concerning the issues of energy supply. The visitor routing connects two underground areas with 3000 square metres of exhibition space in historical buildings. It narrates the story of "from the sun to the sun" and is dedicated to the fossil and regenerative energy production. The visitor interactively experiences the energy transition at many Hands–on stations and finds out about energy and energy sources.
