The building functions as the new support base for Wien Energie Stromnetz (the local electricity provider in Vienna) and serves the northern parts of Vienna. The project is also intended as a showcase for the use of innovative and sustainable energy in construction and utilisation.

Keynote to the concept is the U-shaped arrangement of the two-story building, which encases a central work yard creating a maximum circulation area for the vehicles and also protecting the neighboring houses from emissions. The layout includes garages and storage rooms, two high-quality office levels, and a generous wellness and fitness area as an additional benefit for the employees.

An inside courtyard brings natural lighting far into the building to provide a bright and lucent atmosphere. With a view to the constantly changing requirements, the layouts are highly flexible—the configuration of the interior walls is easily adaptable.
