Living at river Spree
Berlin, Germany
Two slim apartment towers at the bank of the river Spree complete the skyline along the river at „Molecule Men“. The eastern tower is 99 m high and houses 101 apartments over 27 floors. The western tower is 110 m high and houses 120 apartments over 30 floors. The size per apartment reaches from 75 to 160 sqm respectively from 2 to 5 rooms. The apartments are inspired by „bungalow-living“ - with large terraces and ceiling-high panorama-windows.
The big terraces prevent fire spread from one floor to the other and allow ceiling-high windows and doors within the facade and an orientation to at least two cardinal directions from each apartment. Sun illumination, panoramic views and a close connection of in- and outside are optimized.
The entrance is situated trough a broad lobby and retail spaces on the ground floor. Car- and bike-parking as well as storage is organized over 3 underground floors with direct connection to elevators.
