As one of the world's leading companies for concrete and concrete formulas, MC Construction Chemicals from Bottrop launched an architectural competition in the fall of 2014 for a plant expansion with office and logistics facilities.
SSP emerged as the winner. The jury's decision was based on the composition of the chosen building, the arrangement of the office as a "crown" as well as the proposed color and materiality.
The concept, which was completed by the end of 2018, envisages the use of carbon-reinforced and grey-colored concrete (Beto-Shell). The special feature: the perforated thin panels that give light to the logistics areas on the 1st floor are manufactured with individual approvals.
The formulation by MC Bauchemie, the element production by Hering and the assembly of the entire façade by Hölscher went hand in hand with the architectural planning by SSP in an exemplary manner.
The interiors are designed as modern and future-oriented communication offices and the comfort of the rooms is ensured by the use of heating/cooling ceiling sails, mechanical ventilation and ergonomic office furniture.
The result is impressive.
