Moravské náměstí is a busy town square in the center of Brno. because it is located on Brno’s main boulevard, thousands of people walk and drive through it every day.
The installation on the square serves to document dramatic socio-historical changes which have transformed the square throughout its history. it commemorates the figures, cultures, and nationalities whose imprints are retained in the history of Brno and across the Czech lands.
In this way, it stands as a symbol of how cultural diversity has always been and always will be, a central element of the nation’s legacy.
