·Pediatric Hospitalization Unit: The hospitalization proposal is based on the circulation scheme in an H shape, which allows natural light to reach all spaces while also centralizing control to optimize routes and functionality throughout the area. The architecture aims to focus on the individual, in this case, a child, addressing their needs. We have evidence that the built environment directly affects our psyche. In this project, as part of the overall studies, we have focused on bringing natural light into all rooms, even those in the center of the area. This solution also allows us to open up views to the outside and promote biophilia, aiding in the faster recovery of children. Continuing this dialogue, through colors and different textures studied by the hospital's communication team, we seek to humanize the space and create suitable environments for the users' age, ensuring they feel welcomed with fun, inviting, and positive spaces.

·Neonatology Unit: The area to be renovated is within the Maternal and Child Hospital of HUVH, located in the northeast corner of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital campus, facing Paseo del Vall d'Hebron. The new Neonatology Hospitalization Unit aims to provide space for the recovery of premature babies and those born with chronic and complex conditions. The space is treated with special care due to the psychological state of the mothers and fathers, which directly affects the well-being of their children. The space is structured with a central corridor, providing access to all individual boxes. These boxes simulate a home environment, with comfortable finishes, comfortable furniture, and lighting that promotes well-being and tranquility. This space aims to ensure that families have the most comfortable stay possible while waiting to return home.

·Cardiology Unit Competition: The proposal for the cardiac area is based on the circulation scheme in an H shape, allowing natural light to reach all spaces while also centralizing control to optimize routes and functionality throughout the areas. Being three distinct areas, connection between them and clear circulation has been sought. To function independently yet communicate simultaneously. The architecture aims to focus on the individual, addressing their needs. We have evidence that the built environment directly affects our psyche. In this project, as part of the overall studies, we have focused on bringing natural light into all rooms, even those in the center of the area. This solution also allows us to open up views to the outside and promote biophilia, aiding in a faster recovery of patients. Following the same dialogue, through colors and different textures, we aim to humanize the space and create suitable environments for the users, ensuring they feel welcomed with warm, inviting, and positive spaces.
