Ciutat de Reus: The "polilleuger" of CEIP Ciutat de Reus appears in the need to cover the existent sport ground. The project spans the whole plot, so it takes the advantage of adapting a second sport ground, the exterior games area, the children patio, the acces area and the perimetral fence. Both the structure and the facade's material are studied based on sustainability criteria and the posterior maintenance cost of the facilities. So it archieves a very light weight project with a execution cost per m2 way lower than the standard module establish by the official organization. Alberich i Cases: The "polilleuger" project is intended rethink architecture based on new concepts of sustainability and low maintenance. The field is covered by a tubular metal supports lined of sandwich panels and polycarbonate sheets. That same cellular translucent polycarbonate is also used on the front, while the other elements (harrows, services, changing rooms, storage …) are made of concrete. The result is a facility that has a low cost of implementation without resign a formal and spatial quality with a completely contemporary look. Celia Artiga: The good results obtained by the two previous "polilleuger" experiences encourage the Reus City Council to make a third one. In this case, the intervention is not limited just to the sports hall and the development of its immediate environment, but rather extends beyond the boundary of the plot. Thus, in addition to attending social and economic circumstances of the moment, the project is considered in four distincted phases: the "polilleuger" the interior complex and its surroundings, bleachers and the new inverted traffic priority step.
