Architectural Head Games
This exhibition showcases a unique collection of architect-designed headpieces created for the Architects' Guild of the 2024 Arts in the Dark Parade. Inspired by favorite spatial moments in Chicago—ranging from iconic buildings to personal architectural experiences—each piece reflects an inventive interpretation of the city's built environment. Using a variety of materials, colors and forms, these wearable designs highlight the intersection of architecture, creativity and self-expression. The headpieces were designed to be both visually striking and structurally sound, balancing form, function and movement as they made their way down State Street. Architectural Head Games offers a closer look at the craftsmanship and inspiration behind the project, celebrating architecture’s role in shaping the imagination.
