This 50-room Guest house draws its inspiration from the
traditional house for travelers - the caravanserai.
The guest rooms are arranged around two introverted
courts – a classic square and an eccentric trapezoid –
forming spaces at rest. The common and service spaces
literally rupture the isolation of the courts through their
angular customized forms and in the process also create
connections to the outside.
The overall experience is one of an introverted tranquility
and grave timelessness, punctuated by unexpected
encounters with the light-hearted present.
