House Txell

On a narrow plot with a slight slope towards the south, we propose the project of a courtyard house, a very common typology in the mediterranean climate, which allows the extension of the living space from the inside to the outside.

Likewise, the aim is to create private spaces by minimising exposure to neighbours, opening up the house to the interior courtyards and to the south to enjoy the views of nature.

The kitchen becomes the link between the two volumes that make up the house. This element, conceived also as a transit area, becomes an interior garden with a very strong connection to the garden.

On the south facade, a pergola becomes the porch of the living room. The perforated brick walls which protect this exterior living space, due to its geometric openings, creates pattern of shadows
