Toyo Ito, Under the Cherry Trees, Color Pencil Drawing; Unique, Signed – $3,000 (All images courtesy of Design Miami)

Architects for Beirut launched on October 13 (it goes until November 17), and as of today nearly 30 items have sold, raising more than $45,000. Prices range from under $100 for a newspaper publication created by the young practice AD—WO to $15,000 for a one-of-a-kind drawing that James Wines created for Michael Sorkin’s 2002 book The Next Jerusalem: Sharing the Divided City. In between are many famous names (Iwan Baan, Flores & Prats, Norman Foster, Bernard Khoury, and Bernard Tschumi, to name just a few) and numerous young architects, all of whose donations will surely help Beirut Urban Lab greatly. A smattering of the offerings are presented here, but be sure to visit Design Miami's website to look at the rest of this unique collection for a good cause.
