DesignCurial and Looking4.com held an online poll to find the most amazing car park architecture. After thousands of votes they unveiled three winners from the shortlist of ten projects – from Amsterdam to Seattle.
Architects – this writer, at least – have a love-hate relationship with car parks. Cars spew carbon, take up too much space on the road, and most parking garages are hideous, utilitarian structures built for efficiency rather than appearances. But well thought out structures, such as those here, can be pleasing additions to cityscapes – all the while taking cars off the streets.
