Amos Rex is a private art museum whose predecessor was the Amos Anderson Art Museum, located in the former home and offices of the art patron and newspaper publisher Amos Anderson. The roughly $60 million, 23,350-square-foot museum by JKMM Architects consists of new underground exhibition spaces and an event forum on Lasipalatsi Square, as well as the old Lasipalatsi (glass palace) and the Bio Rex cinema, both from the 1930s and restored as part of Amos Rex.

In the words of JKMM: "Gently curving shapes are an architectural theme that brings together the design of the square and the art museum underneath. The clearly contemporary architecture will be seamlessly integrated into the surroundings while still boldly standing out. Skylights will provide a direct connection to the square above."

teamLab's Massless will inaugurate the museum's new spaces below the skylights.
