Two new short films see the Japanese design firm Nendo reimagining a pair of iconic holiday elements: the Christmas tree and the snow globe.
First up is the Christmas Tree on display in the Galleria of Tokyo Midtown from November 17 to December 25, as part of "Glitter in the Air." The 7.5-meter "tree" is made of diamond-shaped metal panels that are punctuated by star-shaped cutouts that flutter thanks to 416 small internal fans.
And second is a trio of snow globes that look empty at first glance. Once shaken the Invisible Snow Globe reveal its internal object made from an ultra-transparent silicone resin.
