Flow

This multigenerational household is located on a quiet residential street near the ocean. Our goal was to create a private, secure home with a garage to accommodate the two family cars. Individual rooms for each family member are located on the first floor and connected by a terrace. On the second floor, slit-shaped skylights lend a floating sensation to the living room, while glass interior walls recall the atmosphere of a luxury hotel. By pushing the front of the building out at a slant over the street, we were able to lighten the visual impact of the heavy concrete structure.
