A historic town house in Feldkirch Austria, was converted into a modern jewelry store with great care and attention to detail. The spektrum team had the privilege of accompanying this project from the very beginning and playing a decisive role in the lighting design. The goal was to let the precious pieces of jewelry shine in the best light and at the same time create an inviting, atmospheric environment for an unforgettable shopping experience.
SOLUTION APPROACH
The planning included the lighting of all central areas of the jewelry store, including the sales floor, the elegant display cases, the shop windows and an integrated bar. The latter was designed as an atmospheric retreat - a so-called “black box” - that invites customers to enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Each of these zones was equipped with a specific lighting solution that optimally supports its respective function and immerses the room in a luxurious ambience.
From the very beginning, it was important to harmoniously integrate the lighting into the architecture and design of the space. The use of diffuse light has created warm, uniform room lighting that gives rise to a pleasant atmosphere. This was complemented by precise accent lighting with small, targeted spotlights that set the scene for the decorative items. This interplay of diffuse and accentuating light sources was decisive in the development of a special ceiling design: coves in coffers lend the room depth and elegance. This lighting design connects the ceiling construction with the floor plan both visually and functionally.
This project demonstrates how well-thought-out lighting design can enhance both the function and the aesthetics of a room and contribute to an incomparable customer experience.
