Inside KPF
In a new five-minute video, design principals Marianne Kwok and Brian Girard lead a walkthrough of KPF's recently renovated New York City office, which occupies a full floor in a 1920s commercial building across the street from Bryant Park and the firm's own 520 Fifth Avenue supertall.
Although KPF's Midtown office is sizable, at 25,000 square feet (2,325 m2), Girard explains in the video how they strove for a “quasi-domestic environment”—a quality that comes across clearly as the camera pans across the lobby, library (with books!), conference rooms, breakout spaces, and studios. It is a surprisingly casual atmosphere for a global firm with 600 employees, 32 principals, and offices on three continents.
